DR ABARIKWU ENYINNA UGOCHUKWU popularly known as 'Bobs' was born on the 4th of September at Ogan labor ward, UNTH Enugu, so his stint with this medical school was almost pre-ordained. He hails form Umuahia, Abia State. His primary education was at Moore Elementary School, Colorado (USA) while his secondary was at FGC Okigwe. His best clinical posting was S2-General Surgery -Dr Njeze's unit. While in med-school, he noticed that lots of people kept bumping into objects because of their tabular vision, and he wonders why we can't broaden our field of view and avoid all the pit falls. He's had no regrets about his stay in school and believes that everything that happened had its purpose. He is eagerly looking forward to the day he'll be sworn in to the medical profession. Outside medicine, he enjoys music, swimming and basketball (playing and watching) and he served as two-time president of CASOR. DR Enyinna wants us all to know that no obstacle can't be gotten around the other side. [Top]

DR EZEIBE KENE CHUKWUNONSO popularly known as 'Zigi' or 'Zibes' was born on the 30th of April at Ibadan. He is from Igbo-ukwu in Anambra State. He attended University Primary School Enugu and is a fed. Govt. College, Enugu Old boy. Kene had a full literary while in school. He was NCCMDS Editor (97/98), NCCMDS President (98/99), member UNMSA ELECO (95-99), and Chairman UNMSA ELECO 999/2000). His best COM med posting was P2 and med-school has taught him that with God all things are possible. Passing his 3rd MBBS exams is the highest point of his life so far and the death of his much-cherished friend and classmate, Emeka Udeh comes an all time low. Dr Zigi aims to go right beyond the skies, as he wants to be the best God-fearing, Jesus-preaching Pediatric surgeon ever in the history of mankind. We say ride on brother. He has Pastor Tony Rapu as his role model and he enjoys watching football, wrestling and praising. He only wishes he could have gone through med-school without loosing any of his classmates. Dr Exeibe, who will be most fondly remembered for his early Friday mornings accurate prophecies advices all to 'Know HIM as HE is the only way up. He knows he will miss all his beloved, wonderful classmates but believes that our end will be better than our beginning. Amen to that. [Top]

 

DR OBI NGOZI F popularly known as 'NG Babe' was born on the 2nd of October and hails from Ukeni Idemili L.G.A of Anambra State. Before coming into the medical school, she attended the Sancta Maria Primary School and a Convent school. Her best postings were casualty and Orthopaedic Surgery. While her highest point in life is yet to be experienced, her lowest were when she missed her Paediatric exam and when her closest friend failed out of medical school after 2nd MBBS exams. She learnt form medical school that a pen of ink is better than a good memory. During her stay in med-school, she served as unit representative during several postings and was a consistent member of the class, and her ambition in life is to serve humanity no wonder Dr Obi's role model is the late elder Statesman, Rt Hon (Dr) Nnamdi Azikiwe. She loves travelling, meeting and making new friends as well as watching true life documentaries and movies. She has no regrets whatsoever about her stay in medical school and as her parting words; she urges us to be good to all and make heaven our ultimate goal. She also says it pays to have a role model in all the sphere of our life. [Top]

 

DR OKWUOSA ULOMA NKIRUKA celebrates her birthday every 30th of June and was born here in UNTH Enugu. She is an indigene of Oguta in Imo State. Before moving into the medical school, she passed through the A.I.C.E Primary School Owerri - Imo State, FGGC Gboko and FGGC Owerri. She hopes to specialize eventually in any of O and G, Pediatric or General Surgery. In her spare time she enjoys listening to good music, cooking, shopping and hanging out with good company. Her most enjoyed postings were Casualty and Pediatric Surgery. Her stay in medical school has taught her that we can achieve whatever we put our minds to with belief in ourselves and faith in God. She has served as the publicity secretary of the Year Book Committee and was also part of the organizing committee for the mountain climbing picnic event. Her highest point in life is yet to be experienced; that is holding her first baby in her arms while the lowest was losing her dear Uncle the night after her grandfathers' funeral. Her life ambition is to make as many people as possibly happier and healthier especially through her career while her role models are her mum and Hilary Rodham Clinton. Asked what she would change about medical school, she wishes we could learn by apprenticeship instead of taking all the tough exams. She says medical school has been a wonderful experience especially with her classmates at Imoke hall. DR OGUEJIOFOR PATRICK CHINEDU known by most as Paddy was born on 18t November 1974 at Onitsha and hails from Utuma in Orumba North L.G.A of Anambra state. He attended St. Patrick's Primary School Enugu, Premier Primary School Onitsha and Christ the King College (C.K.C.) Onitsha. He loves playing chess, scrabble and watching movies. Paddy's best posting was Orthopedic and he would want to specialize in General Surgery. His lowest point in life was the death of his dad. He learnt from medical school that determination and hard work are the secret of success in life. Paddy, a soft-spoken easygoing and most gentle fellow would want to be a successful medical doctor and Businessman. His parting shot is this: "good luck to all in all life's endeavors". [Top]

 

DR. ANUNWA-CLEMS, OBY JOYCE (nee Ezenwaka) popularly known as Obyclems or Gentle Lady, was born on the 15th day of July 1976 at Enugu in Enugu state. She however hails from EnuguUkwu in Njikoka L.G.A of Anambra state. She attended Ziks Avenue Primary School and Holy Rosary College for her primary and secondary school education respectively. Dr. Anuwa-Clems' best clinical posting while in school was Surgery II and Casualty postings and this rubbed of as she intends to be either a surgeon or a paediatrician in future. Oby made imprints in politics and religion while in school. She was the Directress of socials '99 FYMSA and also Directress of Socials of the Catholic Medical Students Association. Her highest points in life have been sowing in the Lord's vineyard, building up her reputation and earning herself respect. There have been no low points in her life, since according to her, life is but a phase. Oby likes adventures, relaxing with her dearest spouse, playing table tennis, swimming, showing kindness to people and reading few lines from a good book. She learnt from Medical school that though insistence is a risk and full of challenges, with God all things are possible. She regrets the interrupting strikes and the exasperating "stress" of the medical school. Joyce enjoins all to let our light shine and lets "heal" the world. She finally leaves us with Proverbs 28:20-which says, "Keep the faith, because a faithful man shall abound with blessings". [Top]

 

DR OSIKOMINU DANIEL OLUWASEUN fondly called Danny boy was born in England on 4th September 1976. A native of Ogun State, he attended Iyaniwura N Primary School and Methodist Boys High School before coming on to the prestigious UNN. Danny boy who hopes to become an Obstetrician or an Ophthalmologist had his best clinical postings as Casualty. His zenith is yet to be attained and he is not actually sure of when his lowest point was. He enjoys reading, watching movies and playing games. While in medical school, he learnt that you require a lot of hard work and consistency and you need to be careful in life. He aspires to be a very successful doctor with a happy family life. He wants everybody to remember that "together we stand, divided we fall". [Top]

 

DR MODEBE, ANWULI NGOZI fondly called 'Nwulis' by her friends was born on 15th April in Los Angeles, California, U.S.A and she hails from Onitsha in Anambra State. She attended University Primary School, Enugu Campus from where she went on to F.G.G.C, Onitsha. She is yet to get to the highest part in life but her saddest memory was when her brother had a motor accident. Of all the clinical postings, her best were Casualty) thanks to Dr J.C Okafor's humors teaching) and Paediatrics. The single most important lesson she took away from Medical School is that hard work always pays even though the journey to the end point was damn too long. She enjoys making friends, watching movies and traveling. Anwuli's greatest aspiration is to be a good wife, mother and Paediatrician and she advises her colleagues to be the very best they can be in whatever situation they find themselves. [Top]

 

DR UMERAH CHINWE KENE popularly known as 'Wuzzie' was born on 21st January in the city of London, England. She hails from the town of Awka in Anambra State. Her primary school education was at the prestigious University School, Enugu with the Secondary School education in 2 schools; University Secondary School Enugu and FGGC Abuloma. Chinwe's best postings were Casualty with the ever-funny Dr J.C Okafor and Ophthalmology. She is yet to get to the highest point of her life but her lowest point was when she lost her mom in 1998. in the course of her stay in medical school, she learnt that she could do all things through Christ who strengthens her. She was her unit's leader in their medicine IV postings and Praise and Worship coordinator in the Abiding Work Gathering where she fellowships. She hopes to specialize in Pediatrics or Radiology and to be great-a good doctor, music minister, mother and a fantastic wife. Chinwe whose hobbies are playing piano, watching movies and singing would like to say that the class is definitely going places and if we learn to trust God, he will place us at the greatest heights he intends for us. DR OKOLIE CHARLES CHUKWUEMEKALUM was born on 5th November 1972 at Enugu. Popularly known as 'Cee Cee', he hails form Ihioma-orlu in Imo State. He passed through College Primary School Aba; Bonus Pastor Seminary O sina and St Mary's Seminary, Umuouna, before coming to read medicine, he's got a B.Sc in Biochemistry form our own University of Nigeria. In his spare time, Charles loves writing and listening to classical music. His high point in life was founding a medical research society MEDRHUS and he wouldn't want to change anything about his stay here. Cee Cee a most active student activist was the coordinator of Civic Liberties Organization (CLO) UNEC, and Committee for the defense of human rights (CDHR). He was a one time class rep of '99 class; founder and pioneer president of MEDRHUS etc. of his postings, he enjoyed plastic surgery best of all and learnt form medical school that, "if one has Abraham as his father in heaven, never shall he go to hell!" Cee Cee's role model is Jesus Christ and he long to be a sweet husband and a caring father. On a final note he characteristically charges all, "Never give up in any struggle". [Top]

 

DR ULEANYA OBIEFULA IKECHUKWU fondly called "Monere" by all was born on 31st March 1974 at Nhawsi. He hails from Osusu in Isiala-Naina North L.G.A. of Abia state. He attended Central Primary School Owerrinta from where he preceded to Ascension Junior Seminary Aba. His hobbies include writing poems, singing dancing and athletics. His best posting was O and G under Dr J Okaro's unit. He would specialize in surgery or O and G. his lowest point in life was demise of his dear daddy on the 6th of January 1998. He was three times prayer secretary of NCCMDS '99 Class. He learnt from medical school that virtue is its own reward; hard work and rugged determination can take anybody to the moon. If given another chance, obi would have curtailed the psychical distractions and hence change his attitude to the sum totality of commitment to his work during his stay in medical school. His role model is his late dad and Abraham Lincoln while his life ambition is to, with God's Armour, get to position this nation at a place where righteousness' reigns so that all may be happy. Moni will be remembered by all as a most energetic but domineering class rep and his famous (some will swear it is infamous) 'phallic declaration' will always be fondly remembered by all. As a parting shot, he urges all those, "Endeavour (with every sacrifice you can) to make it to heaven because in about 200 years from now '99 class will be reconstituted in heaven to part no more. DR ENENMO IFEOMA PEACE was born on 23rd May 1976 in Enugu and she hails from Igboukwu, Aguata L.G.A, Anambra State. She had her primary school education at Uwani River Primary School, Enugu an Secondary School education at FGGC Onitsha before obtaining her MBBS from the University of Nigeria. While I medical school, she made her mark by being a member of Health Week Organizing Committee (1997), Health Week Organizing Committee (1998), Director of Reception PHPC (1998) and secretary, '99 class Electoral Committee. She also received an award as the most popular female UNMSITE in 1998. Medical school taught her that you could never know enough and she hopes to gain international recognition in the field of medicine. She likes traveling, listening to music, dancing and watching movies' Finally, she wants her colleagues to know that "slow and steady wins the race". [Top]

 

DR NJOKU VICTOR OBIJURU popularly known as 'Vico' came into this world on 12th November 1975 in Kaduna State. He hails from Ngor-Okpala L.G.A. of Imo State. He was a pupil of Lara-Ade Nursery/Primary School, Ikeja Lagos and later Federal Govt College Okigwe. Casualty posting was definitely his best clinical posting. To him his highest point in life is yet to come; but the death of his beloved grand mum was his lowest point. His stay in the medical school has made him resilient, focused and positively oriented in life. Association with friends and success in 2nd MBBS gave him much joy. He hopes to be a seasoned Neurosurgeon and a man of God. He looks up to Sir Albert Einstein as his role model. His hobbies are chess, playing, gisting with friends and picnicking by a beach. DR UDEH JULIA NGOZI (NEE AGBO) was born on 9th September at her hometown Nsukka in Enugu State. She is an old student of Queens College Nsukka and in her spare time loves playing music. Julie's best clinical posting was M4 under Dr Nwabueze and she would not want to change anything about her stay in medical school, which taught her that with determination, you can excel. Her role model is Dr Mrs Nnoruka while she would want to become the first ever-female minister of health of the country come year 2007 (we wish her every luck). As a parting shot, Julie has this to say, "it has been a wonderful and memorable stay together, though long and demanding. Thanks to God it has come to a glorious end. DR OKONMAH NZOLO WENDY fondly called 'Wendosh' was born on 18th November in Delta State. She is form Ibuzo in Delta State and attended Palmer Primary School Sapele and Our Lady's School Warri. She loves traveling and meeting people, enjoyed Casualty best of all her postings and would specialize in Internal medicine. Her lowest point in life was the death of a classmate an friend, Emeka while her highest was the day she became a new person in Christ. Wendosh an ever smiling, ever playful and amiable lady has Rev Chris Oyakhilome as her role model and would want to become a successful doctor, a loyal wife, a wonderful mum and a blessing to her generation. While ambitions seem legion, anybody who knows Wendy will readily admit that the humble young lady with commendable human relations capacity has all it takes to achieve them. She was member of the class welfare committee, a task she carried out with so much expertise, and learnt form medical school that consistency, determination and God's enablement is the triad you need to scale through. DR ONWUOCHA, CHUKWUDI CHARLES was born on the 19th of June 1975 and hails from Nino in Njioka L.G.A. BIG CHUX (as he is popularly referred to because of his intimidating stature and ferocious appetite) had his early primary education at Maryland Convent Primary School, Ikeja, and Lagos. He proceeded to the prestigious King's College, Lagos where he ended up as the school captain for the 1991/92 sessions. An ardent soccer enthusiast, he derives joy in putting a smile on the face of everyone he comes across. While in medical school, his most enjoyable postings were in Casualty with Dr J.C Okafor but he is eternally grateful to Dr (Mrs.) S.N Ibeziako for imparting in him that of reasoning in clinical practice. He is most likely to specialize in Gynecology and derives hid inspiration from God, the HRF and most especially his mother, who single-handedly raised him. He aspires to be the best father, husband and doctor he can be, excelling in his work to the glory of the Almighty. Medical school taught him that everything is possible with the 3P's of life- Patience, Perseverance and Prayer and that nothing good comes easy. To his colleagues- "all the best". DR UGENYI DENNIS CHIJIOKE aka 'Deno' was born in Surulere Lagos on 15th March. A native of Umuahia, in Abia State, Deno went through St Thomas Aquinas Primary School and St Joseph's Boys Secondary School both in Lagos. Casualty was his best clinical posting and he enjoys cracking jokes, football and photography. Medical school taught him that nothing is impossible. His lowest point in life was the death of a classmate and as for his high points; he believes the best and highest is yet to come. He considers as one of his achievements his presence at an open-heart surgery. Deno whose role model is his mother hopes to make a mark in this generation and to be a happy man, nice husband and a good dad. His last words are these, "Put God first in all you do. There are opportunities out there, go and grab yours. I'll miss you all!!. He also uses this medium to thank his parents, brothers and sisters for their contribution towards his stay in the College. DR UGHASORO MADUKA DONATUS popularly known as Dr Bodo was born on the 7th of May 1975 at Geneve hospital Onitsha and hails from Isulo, Orumba South L.G.A Anambra State. He attended the premier primary school ad the prestigious Dennis Memorial Grammar School both at Onitsha. The posting he enjoyed most was Community Medicine while he cannot say for sure what his highest or lowest points in life has been. What he has learnt from his stay in medical school is to make everyday a new beginning ad exact much of oneself, his greatest achievements being the successful organisation and participation in N.I.M.S.A games 1999 as the director of games of UNMSA. Dr Bodo is also a renowned sportsman and will be best remembered as such by the '99 class. Dr Bodo's great love for his father is reflected in the fact that his role model. While his life ambition is to be a good father like his father is. What would he change about his stay in medical school? Nothing at all. DR OPARAECHE UCHE NNAMDI aka 'OPY' was born on the 3rd of March in London and hails from Mbieri, Mbaitolu L.G.A of Imo State. He had his primary education at FUTO Staff primary school and his secondary education at Archdeacon Dennis Junior Seminary Mbeiri. He enjoys lawn tennis, Badminton, Swimming; Chess etc. the postings he enjoyed most are Dermatology and Gynecology. He learnt from medical school that one has to learn to fight his own battles. Opy's idol is Solomon the wise King while his life ambition is to serve humanity to the fullest. He would have loved to change the instability and the uncertainties that abound had he another chance to go through medical school. DR AGBALA NNEKA ANGELA was born on the 5th of June in Lagos. Nekky as she is popularly called by all, hails from Ideani L.G.A of Anambra State, nneka has had a wonderful time schooling, having so far schooled in different parts of the country-west, north south and east. She started off at the state primary school, Marine-beach Apapa, Lagos and had a run through several secondary schools: F.G.G.C Onitsha, F.G.G.C Benin before finally finishing up at Sweja Academy, Niger State. Med-school offered to Dr Agbala several things that have helped to make her a more complete person. Her best postings were in Obs/Gynae even though she intends to specialize one day in Paediatrics. Nneka however is still awaiting eagerly her highest point in life and she still vividly remembers the day she was mugged in her room and hopes she never experiences that kind of thing again. A multifaceted lady, Nekky enjoys reading novels, playing games, cooking and dancing but interacting with people from different spheres of life still remains tops on the list of what she likes doing best. Dr Agbala intends to be a successful and renowned doctor, gave a good home and a beautiful family and hopes to be a positive influence on so many lives. Nneka feels that med-school would have been more interesting if all had to pass through it with minimal disruptions form incessant strikes. Life offers different things to individuals and she says: that fir the things you can't change in life, learn to live with them but for those you can change, don't wait for someone to push you to do so. DR IJIOMA NKECHINYERE NWAMAKA born on 10th December in Ontario, Canada hails from Ozuitem, Bende L.G.A Abia State. In her quest for academic excellence, she went through FUTO University Staff School and Air Force Girl's Military School Jos. She loves the fact that she is born again and her low point was when she lost a friend an classmate-Emeka. She likes reading, cooking and playing games. Nkechi was a member of the class welfare committee and her best clinical postings was M2 under Prof. Oli/Dr Ofoegbu. She learnt to trust in God at all times and in all situations while in medical school but she regrets the unnecessary strikes which prolonged the programme. He role model is Jesus Christ and she aspires to become a successful Christian doctor, loyal wife, wonderful mother and a blessing to her generation. DR AMUTA CHUKWUEMEKA C was born on June 12th 1975 at Enugu. "Big Uncle" as he is popularly called is from Obosi in Anambra State. Uncle passed through Ekulu primary school Enugu and FGC Warri. His lowest point was the death of his dear mother. In his spare time, he whiles away time with snooker and chess. Easy going, jovial and amiable fellow, Uncle was the Chairman of the first successful mountain climbing event of the class. He would have tried to get a more solid foundation and clinical orientation in medical school. He enjoyed Casualty best of his postings and from medical school, he imbibed the lesson that one can't be too careful in life and so should try his best and leave the rest to God. Uncle will want to be a successful doctor; 'really successful' he says and urges all to keep their eyes always on the prize. "Remember, God dey!" he cheerfully concludes. [Top]

 

DR ANYAKE, ALEX EMEKA popularly known as 'pastor Heineken' was born on the 5th of May in Enugu. He hails from Ihiala in Anambra State. He attended University School Nsukka Campus and is an old man of Fed. Govt College Enugu. He enjoyed his E. N. T postings the best and has learnt from medical school that he can only do his best and leave the rest to God. When asked about his achievements in school, Pastor Heineken replies without mincing words, "coming this far'. He's had absolutely no regrets about his say in med-school as he's had a swell time with his friends' and colleagues. Dr Anyake has Ted Turner as his role model and enjoys listening to good music, playing chess and watching nice films. He aspires to be an effective man in all ramifications; husband, father, doctor, entrepreneur and philanthropist. Pastor Heineken, whose nickname epitomizes the merging of two seemingly divergent entities strongly believes and would want to share his philosophy with us; "you have to do what you have to do". DR ODOH ANTHONY KENECHUKWU was born on the 4th day of July, 1976 in Enugu. Called by many as 'MKO, dot.com guy, or cyber-kid', he attended Achara Layout Primary School Enugu and Federal Government College Enugu, graduating with the best SSCE result. He was also the best Nigerian Student in Biology and third best in Agricultural Science in 1992. While in school, he was a member of the UNMSA, HOR from 1996-2000 and chairman of the Foreign Relations, Committee, UNMSA (1999). He was one of the 5 Founders of the Medical Research and Humanitarian Society (MEDRHUS) of which he was the 1st Vice President. An avid journalist with some articles published in national newspapers, he started off 2 publications in the University- the Lifeline and The Medpointer, both of which he was the inaugural Editor. He was also on the Editorial Board of the Medikka (1999-2001) and the Catholic Medicare. He was also the chairman of '99 class website committee (which produced the 1st ever class website in the history of UNN) and a member of the '99 class Yearbook Committee. Casualty remains his best clinical postings and he feels the highest point in his life is yet to come. Medical school taught him to cultivate his talents and make the best use of his time. His role model is Blessed Josemaria Escriva, the Founder of Opus Dei and his future aspiration is to seek for sanctity in whichever field of endeavor he finds himself in (including outside of Medicine). DR ONYEBUEZE JOHN UGOCHUKWU was born on 18th November 1973 at Aha. He hails form Umuekpe Ntigha, Isi-ala ngwa LGA of Abia State. He is popularly known as 'Igwe' of Imoke hall and attended Group School Eziama Ntigha and Annunciation Seminary Amaudera both in Abia State. His best clinical postings were Casualty. In his spare time, 'Igwe' indulges in Tourism and Adventure, Politics and Activism, and Culture promoting Activities. John Onyebueze both a student activist and politician has undoubtedly made his mark. He was the project implementation officer of GEDAFF club UNEC; a member and protem speaker of the SUG HOR; Chairman Constitution Review Committee; Chairman Joint Campuses Committee of NANS Enugu State; PRO Eastern Youth Forum (EYF) etc. his highest point is in the moment of prayer while his lowest is moment of dissatisfaction with Nigeria's situation. Igwe learnt form medical school the meeting point of the practice of medicine and political activism; while medicine is responsiveness to relief of the plight of the sick, politics is responsiveness to the relief of the plight of the whole man and his society. His role model is his late dad Ezedi Chief J N Onyebueze and he would want to serve God through service to humanity. He has no regrets about his stay in medical school, which he sees as a means to learning, and as parting she says, "I will never forget the formidable '99 class". Beyond politics and political activism, John Onyebueze will mostly be remembered for his great Oratory prowess and no nonsense approach to sociopolitical issues. [Top]

 

DR EBOH GEORGE CHINONYEREM who is 'GCE' to some and 'Eboh de ora mma' to others, he was born on 6th March 1975 in hid hometown Isieknesi, Ideato South LGA Imo State. In his quest for academic excellence, he 2went through Central School No 6 and Isiekensi High School both in Isiekenesi. Eboh laid his foot mats in the sands of time when he was made the daddy of the Catholic Charismatic (99/2000) as FECAMDS financial secretary (98/99), NFCS DOS (98/99), prayer ministry deader (98/99) and General coordinator (99/2000) of God's Delight CCRN. Of the clinical postings, his best was M1 postings with the wonderful duo of Prof Oli and Dr Ofoegbu. He aims to specialize in Orthopedics and Traumalology in Europe or America and enjoys spending time joking with friends and listening to Christian music. Medical school thought him that it is not over till it is over but he despises the frustrating rules and regulations of the MBBS exams especially 2nd MBBS. He greatly regrets the disappointment he gas been to the "Phenomenon" editorial board in the publication of this yearbook. DR OGBONNA STANLEY OGBONNA most popularly known as 'O-STAN-O' was born at Onitsha on 2nd May 1974. He hails form Isunjaba in Isu LGA of Imo State. A grassroots mobilezer and deft politician, it is no surprise that his hobby is solely politicking. He passed through Ugborimili Primary School and the prestigious Christ the King College (CKC), both in Onitsha. He enjoyed O and G best of all his postings. His lowest point was the day a very close friend/brother betrayed him. Had he another chance, he would have improved his relationship with God throughout the duration of his stay here. An astute politician who has knack for forging grand alliances and brokering political compromise, O-Stan-O was the Asst sec. Gen/clerk of the house UNMSA, Deputy editor-in-chief of SUG magazine and ultimately the financial secretary of the Students Union Government. O-Stan-O will want to specialize in O and G, has God as his role mode and would want to serve humanity especially the oppressed. As a last time he succinctly submits, 'always be good'. [Top]

 

DR AMAH KALU popularly known as 'General Pixong" was born on the 24th of April at his hometown, Ihechiowa in Abia state. He attended Central School Ihechiowa and Ihechiowa High School. 'General Pixong' a grass root mobilizer took the centre stage of Imoke politics when he single handedly led a coalition that removed the Imoke Hall Government. His lowest point was the death of his brothers; Richard while his highest is yet to come. In his spare time, he enjoys dreaming about politics and great men and also doing a little bit of weight lifting. He would have been a student activist and a pastor had he another chance in medical school. Expectedly, his role mode is Chief Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu and his life ambition is to be a surgeon and give hope to the less privileged. His dramatic transformation from an almost invisitile member of the clan to the arrow-head of the class activism and leader of the most effective socio-political pressure group in the class has never failed to amaze many. DR. ASOGWA, CELESTINE DESMOND known as 'Celeman' was born on 1st June 1973 in his hometown Opi, Nsukka LGA, Enugu state. Before his admission into University of Nigeria, he passed through primary schools, Idi and Opi Boys Secondary School both in Opi Nsukka. Celeman who enjoys reading newspapers, telling stories and discussing politics has as his role model any powerful and famous politician and he aspires to be a model in the Nigerian political scene. Obstetrics and gynaecology was his best clinical posting, His highest point was when he gained admission into the College of Medicine while the death of his beloved elder sister was his all time low. From medical school, he learnt that diligence is necessary but good luck supersedes. However, if given another chance, he would improve on his inconsistent attendance to lectures and postings. He considers as an achievement the fact that he acquired enough knowledge that enabled him pass his exams. As a parting remark, he says "Farewell all". [Top]

 

DR UZOR ROBERT BELLARMINE .U. also known as 'Robby' was born on the 17th day of May in the 70's at Coat Bridge, Scotland. His place of origin is Ahiazu Mbaise, Imo state. His early primary education was at St Mary's Primary School Rochdale England, he later moved over to Assumption Primary School Owerri. His secondary education was at Federal Government College Okigwe. Dr Uzor would like to be an Oncologist in the future. His best clinical posting was his M4 posting and he loves playing chess and soccer; reading detective and historical novels. Robby believes that his highest point in life will be "just before a good death" and that we should all look out in the clan website for his lowest (wherever it comes). His role model is Jesus Christ. Dr Robby while in school emerged the best student in physiology in 2nd M.B.B.S exam and the lesson he learnt from medical school is "never to leave for tomorrow what you can do the day after tomorrow". He would have loved that his story in school be more intense because being older doesn't necessarily mean being wiser. His life ambition (apart from becoming a renown oncologist in the future) is to -"know myself, control myself and help others do the same". He will like to leave with us this quotation from Plato-"The man is wisest who like Socrates realizes that his wisdom is worthless". DR NWOKOMA, MADUKA O was called Madoski was born on the 26th of February in Aba. Maduka originates from Ezinihitte-Mbaise in Imo State. Maduka is yet to reach the highest point in his life but has as a life ambition to be able to create a perfect environment i.e. A "natural" environment. Community Medicine postings were his best while in school. Nothing good comes easy this is the lesson he learnt from med-school. Dr Nwokoma, being a very open-minded and stress free person never had a cause to regret or change anything about his stay in Medical School. He says that it has been well with his soul. DR ANI, SAMUEL O who hails from Ngwo, Enugu State was born on the 9th of June 1974 in Enugu. He attended State Primary School Enugu, Colliery Comprehensive School Enugu. His best clinical postings were Community Medicine and he leant the virtue of hard work always from med-school. He views his Academic success as his highest achievements in school and would not have changed anything about his stay in school. He looks forward to becoming a good surgeon. Dr Ani, who votes his acceptance of Christ as his highest point in life, has no role model but enjoys watching films, playing football and reading novels. [Top]

 

DR ODINA, CHINEDU who is referred to as 'Amigo" by his classmates was born on 4th August 1976 in his home state, Anambra. He attended C.C.P.S. Aba and further quest for knowledge took him to Science School, Imo State. Odian who is known for his great academic prowess has Community Medicine as his best clinical posting. His best time in medical school was his third year and final year his worst time. He learnt to believe in himself in medical school but he wishes that he were a little bit more serious. Chinedu whose role model is Prof Bentley spends all the time he has reading and studying. He reached his zenith when he received the best student award and it is his future aspiration to become a neurosurgeon. To all his colleagues, he says 'Cheers!!' [Top]

 

DR ONYIA, K EPHRAIM EZIECHINA was born in Ngwo on 15th December. He hails from Ngwo in Udi L.G.A of Enugu State. He attended Nkwo-Obodo Primary School and later Christ High School, Abor. He made the best result in S.S.C.E in his school 1991-92. as an undergraduate he served in so many capacities, the hallmark of which was his serving as the National President of Anglican Students Fellowship-Nigeria 1999-2000. He made the 2nd best result in 3rd MBBS (1998). He loved Otorhinolaryngology but would rather specialize in Neurosurgery of Orthopedic surgery. Excellence in life and ministry is the most important objective of his life. He loves Isaiah 60:15. It was bad for him losing his inspiring father early in his medical career (1996) He had no regrets reading medicine but also likes Industrial Chemistry (his first undergraduate course). Prof as he is fondly called, would rather go into research to fully utilize his potentials. Hear him, "the greatest discovery is the discovery of oneself". [Top]

 

DR NWOSU CHINEDU CHURCHILL fondly called 'double cee' or 'Pastor cee" was born on 12th August 1976 at Kaduna. He hails from Imo State- a wide one you may say, and attended Command Children School and Command Secondary School both in kaduan. He loves singing, dancing, traveling, chilling-out with friends and his hommies. He enjoyed his Psychiatry and Cardiology postings most of all. His highest point is whenever he grabs the microphone and sings, while his lowest was appearing before a disciplinary (some swear it was punitive) panel. 'Pastor Cee' was the music director and Pastor of TAWG and member Imoke Prays Committee. He learnt form medical school never to judge a hook by its corner, as there is God somewhere. He regrets the length of our stay in medical school. Idolizes Kirk Franklin, Fred Hammond and THE CHRIST. He would be very happy to effectively combine medicine and music, and being an excellent doctor and raising an excellent choir. DR AGUNWA ARIZE alias 'Ari-boy' was born on 28th December 1976 at ABUTH. He hails from Agulu in Anambra State, and attended Command Children School F.G.C Kaduna. His hobbies include singing, writing songs, poems, and reading out to people. He enjoyed his casualty, O and G and Ms postings. His highest point in life was when he let God to, through him help someone who hell-bent on committing suicide, change his mind and his lowest was the death of his mom in 1999. Arinze was the music director of NCF, UNEC and learnt from medical school that it is not over until it is over, and that despite the odds', despite the part one who wills can with God in his side. He would want to specialize in Cardio thoracic or Pediatric Surgery and has his Pastor, Rev. Chukwudi Ogbueli as his role model. His life ambition is to be an outstanding doctor, medical administrator, Businessman and most of all a man who affected the helpless, comforted the broken hearted and the imprisoned in the world-quite an ambitious ambition you may say. DR OGBECHIE BONAVENTURE CHUKWUEMEKA nicknamed "Bona V" or "Bonasarcoma" was born in Ikeja General Hospital on 11th September. He hails from Onisha-Ugbo, Aniocha North L.G.A of Delta State. He attended Command Children's School Ikeja and late Uwani River primary School Enugu. He also attended College of Immaculate Conception Enugu. Ophthalmology and Casualty Postings were his best clinical postings. He served in different capacities as a student: first class rep '99 class 1993/94; FECAMDS President 1998/99; Director Civic Dispensary PHPC 1999; UNSA HOR 2000/2001.He hopes to be a successful surgeon, Obstetrician and gynecologist. He learnt from the medical school to trust in the Lord with all his heart and not to lean on his understanding. He looks up to our Lord Jesus Christ as his role model. To him it has been fun staying with his nice classmate3s in the medical school. Playing lawn tennis, watching films and discussing topical issues are paramount on his agenda. [Top]

 

DR OGUINE AMARACHUKWU was born at Iyi-Enu hospital, Ogidi on the 16th of February, a native of Osumenyi, Nnewi South L.G.A of Anambra State. Amarachukwu, called Amara for short, attended Premier Primary School Onitsha as well as Girls' secondary school, also in Onitsha. She also has a B. Sc in Microbiology, gotten from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka. She has had as her highest point in life giving her life to Christ and also has Jesus Christ as her role model. From medical school, she learnt that it is not of him that willeth, nor of him that runneth, but of God that showth mercy. As a life ambition, she aspires to be a great woman of God. Amarachukwu loves singing and listening to music, and wished that she could have influenced more lives positively while she was in medical school. Dr Oguine feels that irrespective of the past, there is still a great opportunity to surrender one's life to Christ. [Top]

 

DR OKORO, NGOZI IVUNANYA, fondly referred to as 'Ligo' or 'cousin Ivunanya' was born on the 18th of March 1978 at St. Nicholas Hospital, Lagos. She however originates from Arochukwu, Abia State. Ngozi attended the NNPC staff school Warri for her primary school education while for secondary school education; she attended Federal Government College, Warri, Delta State. Ivunanya, an achiever, believes in hard work. She knows that a man can succeed at almost anything for which he has unlimited enthusiasm- all he has to do is to believe it and trust God. Dr.Okoro made quite some marks in Med School she was the best in the 3rd MBBS and 4th MBBS exams. This culminated in her traveling to the United Kingdom to do some of her clinical postings on a scholarship form the Commonwealth foundation, which for her, was a dream come true. She was also the Vice President, FECAMDS - 1st year, member FYMS electoral board and member, UNMSA, HOR. Her best postings were under Dr Nwabueze (Neurology)-M3. this must have had an effect on her as she intends to specialize in either Internal Medicine or Pediatrics'. Ngozi enjoys swimming, making dresses and reading. She aspires to he accomplished and established, having Jesus Christ as a role model. DR IWUAGWU UZO was born at Calabar on the 5th of July. She hails from Mbano in Imo State and attended Shell Camp primary school and Girls' Sec. School both in Owerri. Uzo loves seeing, reading novels and drama acting. She enjoyed her O and G postings most aid would specialize in that area. Her lowest point in life was the burial of a classmate and friend, while her highest was when she discovered she had a 2nd chance to live. Uzo was the hall Pastor and drama coordinator of ASF UNEC. She was also the vice president of NCCMDS. She learnt from medical school that one needs God, determination and dedication to succeed in life. She has prophetess Juanita Bynum as her role model and is emphatic on this, if serving God is wrong, I don't want of be right. [Top]

 

DR ULEANYA OBIEFULA IKECHUKWU fondly called "Monere" by all was born on 31st March 1974 as Nhawsi. He hails from Osusu in Isiala-Naina North L.G.A. of Abia state. He attended Central Primary School Owerrinta from where he preceded to Ascension Junior Seminary Aba. His hobbies include writing poems, singing dancing and athletics. His best posting was O and G under Dr J Okaro's unit. He would specialize in surgery or O and G. his lowest point in life was demise of his dear daddy on the 6th of January 1998. He was three times prayer secretary of NCCMDS '99 Class. He learnt from medical school that virtue is its own reward; hard work and rugged determination can take anybody to the moon. If given another chance, obi would have curtailed the psychical distractions and hence change his attitude to the sum totality of commitment to his work during his stay in medical school. His role model is his late dad and Abraham Lincoln while his life ambition is to, with God's Armour, get to position this nation at a place where righteousness' reigns so that all may be happy. Monere will be remembered by all as a most energetic but domineering class rep and his famous (some will swear it is infamous) 'phallic declaration' will always be fondly remembered by all. As a parting shot, he urges all those, "Endeavour (with every sacrifice you can) to make it to heaven because in about 200 years from now '99 class will be reconstituted in heaven to part no more.
