| The
following write-up traces our journey from 1st year to
final year. The words written in bold are the nicknames
of some people in the class ANNALS OF '99 CLASS In the year 1993 AD, there was a PHENOMENON in the sky. An aggregation of stars from all the galaxies of the Universe moved towards the ZENITH of the rising Sun. the stars were of all colors shapes and CISES. Some were descendants of the Greek gods and took names like KAPPA and LAMPEE. Although they appeared on time as scheduled, their descent was delayed by consternation in the sky. Their date of arrival was shifted to the year 1994 AD, in its 3rd month to be exact. Their arrival was heralded with much pomp and pageantry by all dons of the kingdom of the green horse. (This kingdom had been established since 1967 AD and was famous for its exploits in the disciplines) some of the stars were made lords in the houses of Isa, Franco, Bello to mention but a few, while others sere entertained near Onuiyi heavens. After a few months' sojourn in the kingdom of the green horse, names like MOLECULES, OK-MAN, BONA etc, were used to describe them. Their performance amazed the whole kingdom that they were proclaimed the SHARPEST of all races. Their stay was to be cut short by a plot to derail their destiny. However, after a few months of dormancy they conquered this kingdom and were sent to a hill country for further testing. Their task was now clearer- to defeat and de-mystify the great giant 2ND MB. This was no easy task, and the battle raged for 18 months. Alliances were made for a greater defense like that between PARKASON and MARKASON. This will prove to be one of the greatest and longest alliances made in the history of this race. At last, this great giant was conquered and his great race of stars became known as the 99 class. With the battle of 2nd MB behind them, they settled down among mortals and took traditional titles like EBUBEDIKE, EZENWA, IGWE, MAZI to mention a few. AMIGOS and MELETES strengthened their friendships, while fallen heroes were quickly forgotten. Italian names like TITO and CAMARA were heard among them. Some became popular like RALPH .T while others were captured in picture by a PAPARRAZI. Some others came to enjoy the spot light like DYKES and O.G.B. This period of peace however was cut short in the reign of king Martin the great. Now laws were promulgated and old ones abolished. Standards were raised to match those in MICHIGAN and MIAMI. Some members of the clan were threatened and all rose as one. The GENERAL summoned his army and recruited GB and KC. Old guns were cleaned and made ready. Almost immediately the threat of blemish here and there subsided. H.O.R was placated, and the clan once again settled down to domestic life. Many of their Ladies went the family way while a few became on-lookers. PIRO let his great beard grow, while BUGSY perfected his walk. UNCLE made his beetles look too small, he had to go for a bigger choice. BODO ran for many things among them an election and a race. In the end he was comforted with a gold in short put. LEO-P kept writing epitaphs, until MBTS died and rose again. ALL in all the clan was happy even though two stars were quenched at their brightest. Another king came to power, shortly, after which an earthquake started. It quaked so much that MONERE was made their leader. Congresses were called to tackle the problem and CEE-CEE took them down memory lane; To when the stars first Landed in he kingdom of the green horse, and conquered their enemies; when they had been certified brain dead and still conquered the elements. So that even if they shed tears now with PETECHIAE and shout oo! They will very soon KRISS-KROSS their enemies and reach the Promised Land intact-Insha Allah. Amen.
